A classic and very practical project to bring back some order in this office. Because this room already has a wooden desk, cabinet and floor the best choice was to go with paint for the finish. There are a lot of nifty features to be found. For one, there is a USB cable laying on the desk that is connected to a lot of hardware that's stuffed in the cabinet. Such are a harddrive and a label printer behind one of the doors. One of the 'hidden' drawers close to the desk contains a power socket and USB hub to connect further hardware without leaving the desk chair. All high tech appliances are ther without them drawing to much attention. A big drawer contains the archive and on eye level we find little shelves for documents. All hardware is by Blum and all drawers and doors close silently.

The middle part, underneath the window is floating and therefor the airflow to the radiator (that's behind the middle part) is not disturbed.

Lastly, a few pics of the before situation;
