To show you the structural strength of dovetails, here you can see them hold up this rather heavy inch thick piece of Oak without support. This is a test fit, I have not yet inserted the tails completely into the pins and no glue has been used but already the connection is quite significant. Imagine how strong this cabinet will be with all four corners made with these dovetails. You can see the finished piece here.
